CashCourse is a free financial literacy tool available to NC State students.

Through videos, articles, calculators, and courses, CashCourse will provide you with helpful information that is necessary to build financial skills in the MyMoney Five principles below:

Fintrinsic is a free financial literacy platform available to NC State students.

1. Sign Up
Students can create sign up and create an account using this link.
2. Access the Platform
Once students created an account, they can then use this link to log into the platform going forward.

Fintrinsic is a financial literacy content platform that is specifically designed to support first generation low income (FGLI) college students, and college students more broadly. Our core product–LIT–is a library of 77 short videos (less than 5 mins each), organized into 7 Modules ranging from Money Mindset, Cash Flow, Credit/Debt, and Taxes to Insurance, Investing, and Retirement. The content can be viewed in a syllabus-like flow or “choose your own adventure” style.

Take advantage of the variety of resources available at NC State to contribute to your financial literacy development and support your financial wellness.

At NC State the month of April is dedicated to financial literacy. The program is committed to creating financially healthy NC State students equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain lifelong financial wellness.

Getting help can be challenging. The Counseling Center at NC State is here to make it easier. The trained, diverse staff can address problems commonly experienced on college campuses.

Feed the Pack is a community-based initiative to combat food insecurity within the Wolfpack family. If you’re struggling to find the funds to purchase food, visit the Feed the Pack Food Pantry at 2221 Dunn Avenue.

Each year Poole College of Management Accounting students provide free assistance with income tax return forms for NC State students, employees, and area residents.

Eligibility rules apply, and dates/times change year to year.

Enroll in BUS 225 at NC State. The course explores economic and financial strategies used to accumulate, manage, and protect personal assets. It emphasizes income generation, expense reduction, investment selection, and wealth creation to meet future needs and goals.

Topics include investing (mutual funds, stocks, money market accounts), annuities, deferred savings, insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, and real estate finance.

The course, created with non-business majors, doesn’t have prerequisite requirements.

University libraries have at least one copy of every required textbook for fall and spring available for a two-hour loan.

In addition, they have a wide variety of technological devices available for loan, including laptops, calculators, digital cameras, audio production equipment, and more.

University Student Legal Services (USLS) is a nonprofit corporation created by Student Government and funded by student fees.

USLS provides education, advice, and representation within the prepaid student legal services plan scope.
