  • 👤 Who: Glenda Darrell is an assistant director and career counselor with the Career Development Center at NC State University. She serves as the Career Development Center’s main liaison/career counselor for the College of Engineering.

    Glenda received a master’s degree in Career Counseling and Placement from North Carolina Central University and a bachelor’s degree from Meredith College. Prior to NC State University, Glenda worked in the Career and Professional Development Office at Campbell University School of Law. She is currently a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of NACE, NCACE, and the North Carolina Career Development Association.
  • 💸 What: You got the offer…now what? Evaluating a job offer and negotiating a salary are sometimes thought of as awkward and fearful steps in the job search process, but they don’t have to be. Sept. 24, 2025 – 💻 Debt Management and Student Loan Repayments, Kevin Sutton

  • 📅 When: Wednesday, September 24, 2025 – 3 to 4 p.m.
  • 💻 Where: Online Webinar
  • 👤 Who: Kevin Sutton is the Director of Financial Wellness at East Carolina University (ECU). Kevin is a Certified Personal Financial Manager (CPFM), Certified Personal Finance Counselor (CPFC), and is certified in Financial Social Work (FSW). Kevin’s particular areas of expertise include education on the in-depth nature of credit scores, navigating federal student loan repayment, training peer educators to be effective financial coaches, and supporting university employees in enhancing their own financial well-being.
  • 💸 What: Debt can be a huge stressor for anyone. This workshop explores strategies that you can use for any form of debt that you can personalize to fit your specific situation and debt load. In addition to discussing general debt management strategies, this workshop also provides an overview of the student loan repayment process, repayment plans, forgiveness programs, and anything else related to undergraduate federal student loans.
